Shelby Jean Howard

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Shelby Jean Howard, age 78, of Fayetteville, Georgia, who passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016. Mrs. Howard was born in Pelzer, South Carolina, a daughter to the late William Gaddis Cooley and the late Minnie Lee Rebels Cooley. Mrs. Howard was a Homemaker and in years past had worked as a Nurse. She was also a member of the Dacula Church of God. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her son, Terry Eugene Cooley, daughter, Karen Cooley and brothers, Richard Cooley, Ed Cooley and Joe Cooley.

Survivors include her son, Timmy Cooley of Fayetteville, step-son, David Howard of Lawrenceville; sister, Ann Thompson of Jefferson, brothers, Carroll Cooley of Waterford, CT, Charlie Cooley of Pelzer, SC; 3 Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Dugar Strickland and Rev. Jerry Hewitt officiating. The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Tuesday at Evans Funeral Home, prior to the service.
