Floyd Mize

Mr. Floyd William Mize age 83 of Gainesville, GA, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

            Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Rev. Jeffrey Moss will officiate.  Visitation will be Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 12:00 pm until time of service.

            Mr. Mize was born April 1, 1933 in Gainesville, Georgia to Gertrude and Lela Belle Buffington Mize.  He retired from Sears-Roebuck and was a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church.  He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris Jarrett Mize; sons, Gregory Mize and Hershal Floyd Mize, Sr.; daughter, Elizabeth Mize; grandson, Deotris Mize, Sr.; five sisters and one brother.

            Mr. Mize is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Herby Floyd Mize, Sr. (Lisa) of Gainesville, GA, Marvin Dwayne Mize, Gainesville, GA and William LaShawn Mize, Gainesville, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Janice Sheree Lytle (Elderick) of Lula, GA and Marcia Lynn Mize of Gainesville, GA; sisters, Claudine Randolph of Buford, GA and Wynona Moss of Gainesville, GA; brother, Dorsey Mize of Gainesville, GA; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
