Mittie Sue Weldon

Mrs. Mittie Sue Weldon, age 87, of Commerce died Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at The Oaks at Scenic View.  Mrs. Weldon was born in Homer to the late, Henry and Mittie Lee Smith Brock.  Mrs. Weldon was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and was retired from BJC Nursing Home.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Weldon was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Weldon.

Mrs. Weldon is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Mike Jewell of Homer; grandson, Mitch Smith of Commerce; and great granddaughter, Haley Smith of Commerce.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, Nov. 6 at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Wilson officiating with the interment following at Cabin Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1-3 PM.
