Mary Helen Cheek Jacobs

Mary Helen Cheek Jacobs, 86, of Clayton, GA passed away at her residence Wednesday, November 2, 2016.

She was born in Franklin, NC on January 15, 1930 to William Oliver Cheek and Jane Sorrells Cheek.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Lyle Jacobs and one son, Robert Harold Jacobs.

Mrs. Jacobs is survived by one son, Roger Jacobs (Debbie) of Clayton; three brothers, Jack Cheek of Franklin, NC, Jim Cheek of Franklin, NC, Don Cheek of Tallulah Falls, GA; and one sister, Anne Sanders of Clarkesville, GA.  Also surviving are three grandchildren, Traci Adams, Kelly McKay, and Joe Westberg; and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed being outdoors gardening and working in the yard.  She loved flowers and she was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 4, 2016 from 6 PM to 8 PM.  Funeral services will be held in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Danny Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in Rabun Memory Park.
