Wolfgang Hilmer

Wolfgang Hilmer, 60, of Cumming, GA died at Northside Hospital Forsyth on October 29, 2016.  Born in Johannesburg, South Africa he was the son of the late Otfrid and Irmgard Hilmer.

Wolfgang could build anything and was a passionate about his Koi pond and garden.  He was also an avid Formula One racing fan.  He was Senior Product Portfolio Manager at Siemens.  Wolfgang was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be greatly missed by his family.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hilmer of Cumming, GA; daughters, Miranda (Mike) Thomas of Churchdown, England, Shelley (Kevin) Pope of Stroud, ON and Helena (Mark) Sajko of Oakville, OH; sister, Maran (Fritz) Meyer of Zurich, Switzerland; brother, Thomas (Lisa) Hilmer of Ft. Elizabeth, South Africa; and much-loved grandchildren, Emma, Jemma, Bianca, Samantha, Kimberly, Isabella, Holly and Maxwell.

A celebration of Wolfgang’s life will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at McDonald and Son Funeral Home.
