Lucreda Seagraves Addis

Funeral services for Lucreda Seagraves Addis, age 63, of Cornelia, will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 3:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Good News Baptist Church. 

Mrs. Addis passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at her residence. 

Born in Commerce, Georgia on September 4, 1953, Mrs. Addis was the daughter of the late William Carlton and Sarah Ruth Seagraves.  She worked as an office manager with Reeves Wholesale in Gainesville, enjoyed reading and traveling, and was a member of Good News Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Addis is preceded in death by a sister Sheena Propes. 

Survivors include her husband of 44 years. Dennis Addis of Cornelia, son and daughter-in-law Anthony and Valerie Addis of Clarkesville, son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Stephanie Addis of Mt. Airy, sisters Sarah Crowe of Cornelia, Alma Whitlock of Commerce, Joan Hernandez of Gainesville, Jane Garrison of Commerce, Mary Phillips of Alabama, and brothers E.G. “Frog” Seagraves of Braselton, George Seagraves of Gainesville and J.W. Seagraves of Hull. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Kaiti, Rhett, Abby and Annabelle Addis.   

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
