Cathie Mooney

Cathie Mooney, 55 of Gainesville died Monday, October 17, 2016.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Cathie worked as a licensed practical nurse for the Longstreet Clinic for over 15 years and before that she worked a number of years at Lanier Park Hospital.  She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Margie Conner Mooney, Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Reggie Hulsey, Gainesville; two nieces and their husbands, Lynn and Jay Phillips, Gainesville; Katee and Bryan Whitfield, Spartanburg, SC; three great nephews, Bryan and Conner Whitfield, Spartanburg, SC; Camden Phillips, Gainesville. A host of other relatives, family and friends also survive.

Cathie is preceded in death by her father, Carl O. Mooney.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday October 20, 2016 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Rev. Raymond Latty and Dr. Kent Barrett will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday October 19 from 3-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Children or Youth Group at Calvary Baptist Church, 1376 Calvary Church Rd. Gainesville, GA.  30507 or Hopewell Baptist Church 5086 Poplar Springs Rd. Gainesville, GA  30507 in memory of Cathie Mooney.
