Bobby Stepp, 50, of Dahlonega passed away Monday October 17, 2016.
Born March 25, 1966 in Rome, Georgia, Bobby moved to Dawson County in 1973 and had been living in Lumpkin County for the past five years. He was employed as a driver for Country Charm. For a number of years he served as an Associate Pastor and Youth Pastor. Bobby was a devoted husband, father, son and brother who enjoyed life and serving others. He was a member of Chestatee Worship Center and was preceded in death by his father, General Stepp.
Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Kristy Summerour Stepp, Dahlonega; children, Caleb Stepp and his fiancé Ashley Jarrard, Kaleigh Stepp and her fiancé Dalton Greene, Alyssa Stepp, all of Dahlonega; mother, Shirley Stepp, Dawsonville; grandmother, Ethel Lambert, Cherokee, NC; sister and brother in law, Rhonda and Keith Davis, Dawsonville; brothers and sisters in law, Jimmy and Theresa Stepp, Cumming, Ricky and Regina Stepp, Dawsonville; father in law and mother in law, Russell and Cheryl Summerour, Hartwell; brother in law and sister in law, Todd and Kate Summerour, Hartwell; special friend and brother, Tim Summersett, Dahlonega; and a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held Thursday October 20, 2016 at 2 o’clock at Chestatee Worship Center. Pastor Ricky Stepp will officiate. Interment will follow in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
