James Monroe Warren

James Monroe Warren, age 88, of Cornelia, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, following an extended illness.

Mr. Warren was born on November 21, 1927, in Cornelia, Georgia, to the late Henry Cleveland and Rilla Jane Wilson Warren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Sutton Warren. Mr. Warren was a veteran of the United States Navy having proudly served his country during World War II. He retired from Chicopee Manufacturing as a shift supervisor with 32 years of local and dedicated service. Mr. Warren was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Chester Skelton, Cornelia, GA.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Terry Rice officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Friday, October 7, 2016, at the funeral home.
