Christa B Bowers

Christa Bowers, 90, of Dawsonville, GA passed away Wednesday October 5, 2016 at Tanglewood Assisted Living following a period of declining health.

Born December 13, 1925 in Germany to the late Albert and Antonie Piosek, she came to the United States in 1948 and lived 40 years in Columbus, Mississippi before moving to Dawsonville in 2002.  Along with her husband, she owned and operated Roy’s Kitchen in Columbus.  Christa possessed a very positive attitude and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Dahlonega Ward and had twice served as President of the Relief Society. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Jackson Bowers.

Surviving are her daughter and son in law, Linda and Sid Dewberry, Dawsonville; son and daughter in law, Roy A. and Sherie Bowers, Dawsonville; three grandsons and thirteen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday October 6, 2016 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Dahlonega Ward.

Mrs. Bowers will then be taken to Columbus, Mississippi for funeral services and interment in Friendship Cemetery.
