Ruth Anne Drechsel

Ruth Anne Drechsel, age 89, of Gainesville, GA passed into the Lord’s presence on Tuesday, October 4, 2016.

She was born in Schenectady, NY, and had resided at Lanier Village Estates in Gainesville, GA since 2007. She was a math teacher, as well as a homemaker who loved quilting. Ruth was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Gainesville, GA. She was a sweet and gentle to soul to all who knew her.

She was the daughter of the late Aaron Ford and Marion Ruth Heaton Williams, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul David Drechsel; and sister, Clara Louise Williams.

Mrs. Drechsel is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Emily (Robert) Lemcke, Canton, GA, Marian (Larry) McCann, Seattle, WA, Pamela (Stephen) Jenkins, Grove City, PA; and son and daughter-in-law, David (Elly Tanaka) Drechsel, Vienna, Austria. 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren also survive.

A service for Ruth will be held at a later date at Lanier Village Estates.
