Audrey Rita Hughes Puckett

Audrey Rita Hughes Puckett, 90, died Monday, October 3, 2016 at her home in Gainesville, GA. 

Funeral services will be conducted at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA with Deacon Bill Bohn officiating. The family will receive visitors Friday, October 7 from 1:30-3:30pm with services beginning at 3:30pm.  Interment will follow at Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery.

Born July 27, 1926 in New Orleans, LA, Mrs. Puckett was employed as a flight attendant for Capital Airlines in New Orleans where she met her future husband, Jim Puckett, an employee with Delta Airlines. They were married November 8, 1951, and both enjoyed a brief stint as fashion models.  Mrs. Puckett was employed by Maison Blanche in New Orleans.  The couple relocated to Atlanta, GA where she continued her career as a freelance make-up artist.  The Pucketts retired to Gainesville, GA.  They enjoyed traveling and entertaining friends and family members.

Mrs. Puckett is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Puckett, daughter, Jeanne Marie Love, grandson, Bo Knowles, and great-grandson, Carson Closs.  Survivors include daughters, Michelle Puckett, Jaime Lawrimore, Nina (Johnny) Idol all of Gainesville, GA and Bonnie (David) Owen and son-in-law Darrell Lawrimore of Hendersonville, TN and Grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer) Ferguson, Amie (John) Closs, Leslie (Tim) Milam, Sonny (Sarah) Knowles, Alex Idol, Audrey Idol, AnaMarie Idol, Dana (Charlie) Campbell, Jamie (Mike) Jordan, Jeremy (Lisa) Owen, Keith (Crystal) Owen, Hunter (Audrey) Owen and 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.

Alex Idol, Sonny Knowles, John Closs, Tim Milam, Charlie Campbell, Mike Jordan, JD Jordan and Hunter Owen will serve as pallbearers.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.
