Barbara Jenkins Green

Mrs. Barbara Jenkins Green, age 82, of Lawrenceville passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Braselton.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 8, 2016 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with inurnment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Rev. Mac Palmer will officiate.  The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Green was born February 21, 1934 to the late William McKinley Jenkins, Sr. and Elva Burnett Jenkins in Sevierville, Tennessee.  She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church, where she was active in several ministries and loved to spend time with her great- grandchildren.  She also enjoyed gardening, puzzles and playing cards with her friends.

Mrs. Green is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Michael Neal& Laura T. Hodges of Birmingham, Alabama; daughter & son-in-law, Pamela Carol & Mark Watkins of Braselton; grandchildren, Kara Dahlgren, Colby Dahlgren, Craig Watkins, Katy Watkins, Hunter & Stephanie Hodges and Heather & Stephen Davis; 5 great-grandchildren, Anna McKinley, Lilliana, C.J., Colton and Lauren; and brother, Loman Jenkins of Gainesville.  She was preceded in death by her husband, David Green; son, Mark Hodges; her parents; brother, William Jenkins; and sisters, Joyce Dyer and Betty Jo Rogers.
