Paul Kilpatrick of Buford passed away Friday, September 30, 2016. Paul was a mischievous 64 year old man who never grew up. A native of Shelbyville, TN, he had lived in Georgia since 1956; graduating from Norcross High School, and he attended North Georgia Tech. Paul began his business, Kilpatrick Nursery of Buford, in the early 80’s and had a love of vintage cars. Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed wheeling and dealing, fishing and cheating his way through Monopoly (always the banker). He is preceded in death by a son, David Kilpatrick and his father, Rev. Harold Kilpatrick.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Sandy Kilpatrick; children, Joseph (Harley) Kilpatrick, Elaine (Sam) Miller, Jennifer Smith, Shannon Bonner; mother, Abbie Kilpatrick; sisters, Jeannie LaBarbera, Denise Garner; brothers, Sam Kilpatrick, Jim Kilpatrick, Roger Cameron, and Tim Cameron; grandchildren, Emily Kilpatrick, Gabriel, Maximus, Abigail, Simeon, Charles and Duncan Miller, Liam Bonner; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many loved ones.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held Wednesday, October 5, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Paul’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
