Carrie Mozelle Stanford McGehee

Carrie Mozelle Stanford McGehee, age 86, of Suwanee passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016.  Mozelle worked for 26 years for the Forsyth County Board of Education as a food service technician at Big Creek Elementary School.  She loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them.  Mozelle also enjoyed quilting and was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Gertrude Stanford; her brothers, Hoyt Stanford, Edward Stanford, George Stanford, Marcus Stanford, Adron Stanford, Ray Stanford, Carroll Stanford and her sister, Mary Fields.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Webb McGehee of Suwanee; children, Myra McGehee (Larry) Hughes of Dawsonville, Deborah McGehee (Ronald) Buice of Suwanee, Daphne McGehee (Kenneth) Reid of Cumming, Harland McGehee of Duluth; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Eugene Stanford of Doraville, Cloyse (Joann) Stanford of Dawsonville; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 29, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
