Sherrie Diana Barnes Tomlin

Sherrie Diana Barnes Tomlin, age 54 of Cornelia, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016.

Born in College Park, Georgia on June 10, 1962, she was a daughter of the late Billy Dean, Sr. and Othela Cash Barnes. Mrs. Tomlin was a seamstress for Short Manufacturing with 20 years of service. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, reading and traveling to the beach. She attended BC Grant Baptist Church.

Survivors include her loving husband, Floyd Lee Tomlin of Cornelia; son and daughter in law, Dannelle & Nancy Barnes of Cornelia; son, Bronson Daniel Davis of Cornelia; step daughters, Scarlett Elaine Tomlin of Cornelia and Rebecca Nicole Tomlin of Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Joseph Tomlin and Levi Tomlin; brother and sister-in-law, Billy Dean, Jr. & Kathy Barnes of College Park; nieces and spouses, Melissa & Bryan Lambert of Newnan and Julie & James Lynn of Atlanta; nephew and spouse, James & Candi Barnes of Newnan; best friend, Kara Benton of Griffin.

Funeral services are scheduled for 4 pm, Thursday September 29, 2016 from the Chapel of McGahee Griffin and Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with Pastor Barry Sykes officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
