Mae Dean White Ellison

Mae Dean White Ellison, age 93, of Demorest, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 23, 2016 from an extended illness.

Ms. Ellison was born on May 26, 1923 in Habersham County, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Bessie Ballew Dean; son, Jerry Ellison; brother, Ray Dean; sister, Lessie Wade; grandson, Dean Cash. Ms. Ellison was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church. She was owner and operator of Mae’s Beauty Shop with 63 years of loyal and dedicated service.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda White Heath, of Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Delories White Cash and Marshall, of Demorest; Cathy and Mitchell Parker, of Murrayville; sisters, Grace McCallister, of Mt. Airy; Hazel Kimbrell, of Cornelia; brother and sister-in-law, David and Barbara Dean, of Silvis, IL; grandchildren and spouses, Sherry Heath Cape and Cliff, of Gainesville; Michelle Morgan Masters and David, of Clarkesville; grandchild, Cheryl Cash, of Wamblee, SD; great grandchildren, Johna Daniele Morgan, Caroline Isabella Cape, Victoria Elizabeth Cape, Cutler Nace Cape; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 26, 2016 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Mr. Larry Whitfield officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the funeral home.
