Kathleen “Kat” Denny

Kathleen “Kat” Denny, age 62, of Gainesville, GA passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 following a brief illness.

Kat retired from the city of Gainesville where she last worked for the street department.  She attended Youngstown State University where she worked for a Bachelor of Science Degree. Kat was the biggest Steelers fan, had a green thumb, loved to crochet, and as a book enthusiast.

She was preceded in death by her father, William “Bill” McNally.

She is survived by her husband of 34 year, Gordon Denny, Gainesville, GA; mother, Betty McNally, Boardman, OH; brother, Bill “Mac” McNally, Youngstown, OH; sister, Maureen “Mo” LaLama, Boardman, OH; sister-in-law, Gail Denny, Ellsworth, MI; best friend, Beverly Grindle, Gainesville GA; and a number of special nieces and nephews also survive. 

A Celebration of Life Service for Kat is scheduled for 2 PM Friday, September 23, 2016 at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 Noon until service time on Friday.
