John Lewis Hammonds

Mr. John Lewis Hammonds age 74 of Gainesville passed away on Monday September 19, 2016 following an extended illness. 

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday September 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Dwight Johnson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday September 24, 2016 from 10:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Hammonds was born on October 23, 1941 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Artice Wesley Hammonds and Grace Smith Hammonds.  He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Daisy Mae Hammonds of Gainesville,   daughter, Connie F. Howell of Gainesville, daughter, Johnnie M. Owens (David) of Gainesville, son, Dannie Hammond of Oakwood, grandchildren, Danielle Thomas, Davontray Thomas, Jessica Owens, Sharee Owens. Sidney Lewis- Howell, 4 great-grandchildren, sisters, Flossie Morrow of Gainesville, Cassandra Culpepper of Conyers, brothers, Joe Hammond (Johnny) Arch Aid, Ga, Bobby Hammond (Diana) of Winder, Larry Hammond (Fannie) of Winder.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.
