Danny Lanier Smith

Mr. Danny Lanier Smith age 62 of Gainesville passed away on Friday September 16, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday September 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Scotty Poole and Reverend Bobby Ivester will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday September 17, 2016 and Sunday September 18, 2016 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith was born on January 01, 1954 in Gainesville, Ga to William D. Smith and Helen Colleen Saine Griffith. He was retired from Johnny’s BBQ and was a member of Lula Assembly of Praise. He is preceded in death by his father, and grand-parents, Hubert and Leone Saine.        

He is survived by his wife, Helen McClure Smith of Gainesville, daughter, Amanda Smith of Gainesville, mother, Helen C. Griffith of Murrayville, sisters, Gail Forrester of Homer, Susan Smith Rodriguez of Murrayville, Sherry Smith of Dahlonega, brothers, Tony Smith of Oakwood, Jeffrey Smith of Dahlonega, 6 grandchildren.
