Lurlene Bryant

Mrs. Lurlene Bryant, age 81 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at her residence following an extended illness. 

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, September 16, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Scott Holtzclaw will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Friday, September 16, 2016 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bryant was born October 26, 1934 in Baldwin, Georgia to the late Verse Simmons and Lessie Brock Simmons.  She was retired from Deep South and was of the Baptist Faith. Her favorite past time was working in her yard with her flowers.  Lurlene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ernest Bryant and her brother, Jack Simmons.  

Mrs. Bryant is survived by her children, Judy Patterson of Gainesville, Kathy & Tony Scroggs of Oakwood, Linda Bryant of Gainesville and Roger & Annette Bryant of Dawsonville, grandchildren, Stacy & Joey Porter, Randi & Justin Richardson, Tatum Scroggs and Ashton Bryant, great-grandchildren, Beau Porter and Wake Porter, sisters, Jewell Holtzclaw of Gainesville and Josephine Carroll of Clermont and brothers & sisters-in-law, Ralph & Yvonne Simmons of Pendergrass, Bobby & Patti Simmons of Jefferson and Ray & Wanda Simmons of Gainesville.
