Mr. Lamar (Lemorial) Pruitt was born September 19, 1945 to the late Julius Ballet Pruitt and Ethel Mary Ann (M.E.) Jenkins. He departed this life early Saturday morning September 10, 2016 at the age of 70 at the Stephens County Hospital (Pruitt’s Health Care of Toccoa) in Toccoa, Georgia. At a very early age he confessed Christ and joined the St. John Baptist Church in Cleveland, Georgia.
He was married to Mrs. Ethelene Trammell Lowery on November 18, 2000 to their union were three step-daughters and four others from a previous marriage. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Ethel, four daughters: LaSha Lowery, Debbie L. Pruitt and Candace T. Parks, all of Cleveland, Georgia, April Rich, two sons: Bryan Rich and Dalton Jackson all of Atlanta, Georgia ten grandchildren: Zachery Lowery, Ashley Sutton Lowery, Montavious Warthen, Avondre Trammell, Zy’Erik Smith, Angel Smith, Zoe Smith, Bryonia Rich, Diamond Rich, Darrell Jackson, KJ Stephens, Siedia.
He is preceded in death by a daughter: Adrienne Stephens, his four elder brothers: Julius, Lester, Harold and Willie T. also surviving is a sister, Gloria (Phineas-Snap) Sutton of Cleveland, Georgia, three brothers: Robert M. (Bobby) and Dorothy Pruitt of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Johnny Pruitt and dear friend Lena and Roy M. Pruitt both of Atlanta, Georgia, and a great host of loved nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at St. John’s Baptist Church. Pastor Bryan Sutton will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Yonah Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM Wednesday at the church prior to the funeral service.
