Ginny Decker, born Virginia Ann Dare, passed away on September 07 at Northside Hospital after a courageous struggle with ovarian cancer. Ginny was born in Paterson, New Jersey on July 1, 1947 to parents Robert Palmer and Marie Francis. She was the younger sister to brothers Richard Randall and Gary Wayne and pre deceased by infant Nancy Lee. The Dares immigrated to Markham, Canada in 1951 where Ginny lived until she married and returned to the U.S. in 1971. She traveled and worked in many States, finally settling in the warm embrace of southern hospitality in Cumming, Georgia. Many fond memories were shared with her passion for horses, games, culinary delights and fitness classes! Ms. Ginny never met a stranger and made an immediate impact on the many lives she touched with her joyous laugh, boisterous humor and positive attitude. A memorial reception to celebrate her life will be held in her honor at the McDonald & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, September 16th, from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to The Humane Society of Georgia.
