Spero G. Vasilakis, age 85 of Auburn, GA died Sunday, September 4, 2016. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation in Atlanta. Fr. Paul Kaplanis will officiate. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 4-9 PM at the funeral home. Spero was born in Chicago, IL and had lived in the Atlanta area the past 20 years. Education was very important to Spero. He was a graduate of Chicago City College, a proud Veteran of the US Navy where he served during the Korean War and was a member of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation.
