Cleo Whitworth Edmondson

Cleo Whitworth Edmondson passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. She was 90 years old.  Born in White County to Albert Whitworth and Iona Shelnut Whitworth, she spent most of her life and raised her family in Gainesville. Mrs. Edmondson was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 43 years, Clarence E. Edmondson; her daughter, Coraleen Edmondson Davidson; and her brother, Albert Whitworth, Jr.

Mrs. Edmondson is survived by her daughters Wanda Whidby (Richard), Cumming, and Elaine Smithgall (John), Atlanta; grandchildren Michael Carter Davidson, California, Christina (Christy) Davidson Moore (Barry), Buford, Jennifer Lee Brandt (Ryan), Alpharetta, Jonathan Frederick Smithgall, Atlanta, Jason Aaron Smithgall (Elizabeth), Atlanta, and David William Smithgall, Atlanta; great-grandchildren William (Will) Thomas Moore, Ethan David Brandt, Madison Lee Brandt, and William Aaron Smithgall; sister-in-law Millie Whitworth, Gainesville, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. 

A private graveside service will be held for family members and close friends of Mrs. Edmondson on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery; Dr. Terry Crawford will officiate; visitation from 10 - 11 am, prior to the service at the funeral home.
