Marie Green Marshall

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday September 6, 2016 at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Marie Green Marshall, age 91 of Oakwood. The Rev. Wayne Hicks and Rev. Mike Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Marshall passed away Friday September 2, 2016.

Mrs. Marshall was born in High Shoals, North Carolina to the late C.W. Green and Massie Bridges Green. She had lived in Hall County most of her life and had worked for Fieldale Poultry and was a member of New Haven Congregational Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Marshall, sister, Ruth Marshall, brothers, Frank Green, Alva Green, Clinton Green, Arthur Green and Eugene Green.

Survivors include, daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jerry Sexton, Oakwood, grandson and spouse, Kenny and Gina Sexton, Fitzgerald, GA, great grandchildren and spouse, Jana and Chris Fowler, Franklin, TN, great grandchildren, Ginny-Lynne Sexton, Dresden, Germany, Landon Sexton, Auburn, AL, great great grandchildren, Ella Fowler, Ava Fowler, Mia Fowler and Reid Fowler all of Franklin, TN.

The family would like to say a special thanks to the nursing staff of Willow Wood Nursing Home and the Northeast Georgia Medical Center Hospice.
