Donald Gene Anderson

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Donald Gene Anderson, age 77, of Jefferson, Georgia, who passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016. Mr. Anderson was born in Great Falls, South Carolina, a son to the late A. B. Anderson Sr. and the late Nelle Gray Anderson. Mr. Anderson owned and operated the Commerce Pawn Shop, Anderson Jewelry and was a member of the Winder Moose Lodge. He received his Bachelors Degree from the University of South Carolina. In addition to his parents, Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his brother, A.B. Anderson Jr. and sister, Vivian Anderson. 

Survivors include his daughter and son in law, Lynn and Randy McKinney of Jefferson; granddaughters, Sydney Roberts of Athens, Madyson McKinney and Morgan McKinney and grandson, Maverick McKinney all of Jefferson; 2 nephews also survive.

The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 5:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Mobley officiating. The burial will follow in the Evans Memory Gardens with Scott McKinney, Maverick McKinney, Brice Ramsey, Jon Horn, Jim Bailey Jr., and Jimmy Brown honored as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon at Evans Funeral Home from 4:00 – 5:00 PM, prior to the service.
