Mr. William “Bud” Clarence Bowen, age 51, of 1371 Scenic Drive, Toccoa passed away Thursday September 1, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
A son of the late Clarence Chastain and Ruth Watkins Bowen and adopted mother Eula Mae Chastain, born on March 22,1965 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all of his life. He was employed with Coats and Clark for a number of years and a founder and member of New Day Worship Center.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law Jason and Lauren Bowen of Knoxville, Tennessee, Justin Bowen of Toccoa, a partner in life David Franklin of Toccoa, one grand-daughter Jennie Grace Bowen, three brothers and sisters-in-law John and Regina Bowen, Ray and Betty Bowen and Marvin Bowen all of Toccoa and number of cousins.
The family will be at the home and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday September 3, 2016 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. No funeral services are planned. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to the Shriners Hospital 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
