Alexander Ferdinand Cummings

Obituary Date: Monday, August 29, 2016

Alexander Ferdinand Cummings was born on June 1, 1987, in Athens, Georgia, to Dr. Richard Dale and Sandra (nee Falkenhein) Cummings. The family was complete with an older brother, George William and a younger sister, Emilie Frances. He passed away on August 29, 2016, in Cumming, Georgia. Alex was baptized in Athens, Georgia at Trinity Lutheran Church and confirmed in Edmond, Oklahoma at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He graduated from Casady School in Oklahoma City, attended the University of Oklahoma, and was currently a student in the EMT program at Gwinnett Technical College in Atlanta.  He also loved his work with dogs at Blowing Springs Kennel. 

In addition to his immediate family, Alex is survived by his grandmother, Ella (nee Sommer) Falkenhein, his aunt Donna (Kelley) Boyd, sister-in-law Jessie (nee Vitali) Cummings, his nephew Braxton Cummings, as well as cousins, great-aunts, and many friends.  All who knew and loved him will remember his kind and compassionate spirit. 

A Memorial Service for Alex will be held on September 3, 2016 in the Historic Chapel at Midway United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, GA, with Rev. Randall Tucker officiating.  Arrangements were through Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory in Cumming, GA, with burial in Mulberry Baptist Church cemetery in the Isabella community, near Maplesville, AL.
