James “Jim” Riley Westbrooks

Mr. James “Jim” Riley Westbrooks, age 68 of 43 Norman Drive, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Friday, August 19, 2016 at his residence.

A son of the late Robert S. and Willie Mae Verner Westbrooks, he was born June 17, 1948 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Stephens County.  He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in Vietnam, was employed with Dodd Construction Company for a number of years and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Peggy Westbrooks of Eastanollee and Dennis and Crissy Westbrooks of Brunswick; sister and brother-in-law, Dora and Charlie Elrod of Toccoa; number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be Sunday, August 28, 2016, 2 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home.
