Randall Hugh Turpin, age 69 of Gainesville, Georgia went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 20, 2016.
Mr. Turpin was born January 22, 1947 in Gainesville, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his father, Wess Turpin; mother, Lucille Hulsey Archer; father and mother-in-law, Horace and Elizabeth Conner and brother-in-law, Doug Hamling.
He was a graduate of South Hall High School and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He attended North Georgia College where he received his Bachelors Degree and later received his Masters Degree from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology.
Randall worked for many years in sales for Stanley Bostitch Company. He was later called to preach and opened a Christian counseling practice. He pastored a small church in South Hall. He was later employed with the Atlanta Mission-The Potters House in Jefferson, Georgia. Randall loved the Lord and helped lead many to Him. Randall also loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He especially enjoyed riding his motorcycles.
Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Shirley Conner Turpin, of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Carla Turpin, of Gainesville; son, Eric Turpin, of Gainesville; granddaughters, Lainie and Mallori Turpin, of Gainesville; brothers and sister-in-laws, Jim and Rita Turpin, of Loganville; Richard and Rasma Turpin, of Lilburn; sister, Sybil Hamling, of Gainesville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Alta Vista Cemetery in Gainesville, Georiga at 11:00am on Saturday August 27, 2016. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Mission Board of Vision Baptist Missions, P.O. Box 442 Alpharetta, Georgia 30009.
