Clay Roger Wilson

Clay Roger Wilson, age 61 of Clermont, passed away Saturday, August 06, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness. 
                Memorial services are scheduled for Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Butch Jones officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 2:00-3:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. A private interment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery. 
                Mr. Wilson was born December 29, 1954 in Rabun County, Georgia to Duane Wilson and Gerone Durham Wilson. He was self-employed and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his father; his son, Corey Roger Wilson; granddaughter, Hayley Wilson and his sister, Sharon Martin. 
                Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Kat) Wilson of Clermont; daughter and son-in-law, Heidi and Chad Sexton of Lawrenceville; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Brian Shockley of Flowery Branch; son and daughter-in-law, Shannon and Robynn Wilson of Flowery Branch; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Katrena Peck of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Jenny Peck of Gainesville; mother, Gerone Wilson; 9 grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Butch Jones of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Larry and Cheryl Wilson of Gainesville; mother-in-law, Delores Shuler of Clermont and a number of nieces and nephews.
