Kenneth Merlin Day, age 62 of Cumming, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from lung/bone cancer, and was surrounded by his loving family. He was a loving Husband, Father and Poppa, not to mention a dear friend to many. Kenneth graduated from Forsyth Central High School, served in the United States Army as a Green Beret and Special forces. Kenneth had his own business B & D Tire Company and drove for National Oil Company. He was a devoted Mason at Lafayette Lodge #44 and a Shriner for many years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta Ruth (Collette) Quinn.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Farmer Day; son, Jeremy and Nikki Day; daughter, Jennifer Leigh Day; stepson, Tony and Kim Farmer; five grandchildren, Kayla and Brantley Day, Anna Pratt, Meagan and Nikki Farmer; his father, Junior (Ann) Day; sisters, Brenda (Veston) Ledbetter; Terry Springsteen (Lynn Lashley), Nona Heizen (David Rogers), Angie (Barry) Jarman; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
