Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday August 20, 2016 at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Willie Fay Carder, age 91 of Gainesville. The Rev. Mike Grizzle and Rev. Kyle Gibson will officiate. Interment will follow at Murrayville Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Carder passed away Wednesday August 17, 2016.
Mr. Carder was born in Hall County to the late William Albert Carder and Rachel Elizabeth Grizzle Carder. He had worked for Gayborn Mills and was a member of Murrayville Congregational Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his spouse, Bessie Carder Wilkie, son, Ricky L. Carder, grandchild, James Kevin Carder, sisters, Irene Carroll, Pauline Carder, Bernice Saine, Kathleen Longino, brothers, C.L. Carder and Dennis Carder.
Survivors include, daughter and son-in-law, Diane P. Carder and Tony Smallwood, St. Augustine, FL, son and daughter-in-law, Jerry F. and Brenda Carder, Gainesville, daughter, Martha A. Carder Murphy, Demorest, GA, son and daughter-in-law, David R. and Deborah Carder, Cleveland, GA, sister, Lucille Carder Gunter, Jackson, GA, 14 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
