Chess Boggan Howard

Mr. Chess Boggan Howard, age 87, of Maysville, GA died Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at his residence.  Mr. Howard was born in Greensboro, NC to the late Robert and Blanche Boggan Howard.  He was a member of The Grove and was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in WWII.  Mr. Howard was also a member of Gideons International and was retired from Wrangler.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Howard was preceded in death by his daughter, Constance Thieme.

Mr. Howard is survived by his wife, Linda White Howard of Maysville; sons, Jonathan Howard of Bowling Green, KY and Christopher Howard of Jefferson, GA.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Thursday, August 18 at The Grove with Rev. Jeff Appling and Rev. John Wood officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 225, Commerce, GA 30529.
