Aline Burt, 87, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday August 9, 2016 at Peachtree Christian Hospice following a period of declining health.
Born December 3, 1928 to the late Grady and Ida Harben, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Mrs. Burt was a dedicated homemaker who also devoted her life supporting the ministry of her late husband of 64 years, Rev. Lawton Burt. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening but most of all taking care of her entire family. Aline was a member of Juno Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by a grandson, Neal Burt; sister, Beatrice Vaughters; and brothers, Herbert Harben, Warren Harben, Havard Harben, Roy Harben, and Clifton Harben.
Surviving are her children, Linda and David Thompson, Gillsville, Jane Ralston, Blue Ridge, Glenn and Robin Burt, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Cris Nabors, Amy and Steve Sinnamon, Elizabeth Ralston, Matthew Ralston; great grandchildren, Alex Nabors, Dalyn Guinn, Kayla Guinn; brother and sister in law, Gary and Gail Harben; sisters in law, Arlene Swafford, Maude Harben, Irene Harben, Ruby Harben, Hazel Stowers; brother in law and sister in law, James and Diane Burt; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Thursday August 11, 2016 at 1 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Brody Hughes, Rev. Dennis Bottoms, Rev. Gerrell Richards, Rev. Phillip Burt and Rev. Sammy Harben will officiate. Interment will follow in the Juno Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 until 8 at the funeral home.
