Lucille Deaton Roberts

Lucille Deaton Roberts, age 92, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016.

Born in Swaine County, North Carolina on August 25, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Marjorie Taylor Deaton. Ms. Roberts was a member of Mt. Bethel Church of God where she loved to be in attendance. Ms. Roberts loved to sew and could make anything.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Roberts; and brother, Dave Deaton.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby (Judy) Poole of Bowling Green, KY; daughters and son-in-law, Glenda (H.L., Sr.) Dodd of Mt. Airy; grandchildren and spouses, Gail (Greg) Kimsey of Clarkesville, Garnett (Kathy) Dodd of Mt. Airy, and Henry L. Dodd of Mt. Airy; 13 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren; 2 nieces, 1 nephew; many other relatives and friends.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Mt. Bethel Church of God Cemetery located at 1668 Talmage Drive, Toccoa, GA 30577. All family and friends should meet at the cemetery by 1:45 pm.
