Jayne Marlow Brock Pressley

Mrs. Jayne Marlow Brock Pressley, age 73 of 99 Vanmar Drive, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at her residence.

A daughter of the late J.O. and Sue Farrow Brock, she was born August 6, 1942 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life.  She worked hand in hand with her husband in his law practice of 39 years serving in the capacity as a paralegal.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was active in many church committees.  She was a member of the Currahee Squares, officer in the Georgia Association of Legal Secretaries, the Martin Women’s Club and the Red Hat Society.  She served on many community organizations.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Pressley, Sr. in 2013, by a brother, Romeo Brock and by a sister, Linda Spraggs.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Joey Godbee of Statesboro, Georgia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Maria Pressley of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Dan T. Pressley, Jr. and Tracey of Toccoa; grandchildren, Amy and Grayson Tillman, Michael Pressley, Jr., Stephen Pressley, Wyatt Godbee, Zachary Godbee and Emma Jayne Godbee; sister, Gail Brown of Toccoa.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 6, 2016, 2 O’clock PM at the First Baptist Church with The Reverend David Ritcey and The Reverend Dr. Henry Fields officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Michael Pressley, Jr., Stephen Pressley, Wyatt Godbee, Zachary Godbee, Grayson Tillman and James Simmons.

The family will be at the home on Vanmar Drive and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 6 PM until 8 PM.  Online condolences can be made at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Mullins Ford Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Jayne Brock Pressley.
