James Lamartine Smith

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. James Lamartine Smith, age 85 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Wednesday, August 3, 2016.  Mr. Smith was born in Commerce, Georgia the son of the late Luther and Ruby Wilson Smith, was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy,  retired from AT & T and was a member of Galilee Christian Church.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith is preceded by his wife, Carolyn Phillips Smith. 

Survivors include two sons, Bobby Smith and his wife Marcia of Jefferson and Jim W. Smith Sr. of Jefferson.

In accordance with Mr. Smith’s wishes, no services are planned.
