Phillip Eugene Malterer

Mr. Phillip Eugene Malterer age 66 of Gainesville passed away on Friday July 29, 2016 at the residence of his daughter following an extended illness.
            Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday August 03, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Jerry Reynolds will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday August 02, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
            Mr. Malterer was born on December 13, 1949 in Dennison, Ohio to the late Charles Malterer and Mary Lee McDonald Korns. He was retired from Lakeside Plumbing as a warehouse manager and was of the Baptist faith. Served in Vietnam War in the U.S. Marines. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Tony Malterer.
            He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Brad Moore of Gnadenhutten, Ohio, son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Bethanny Malterer of New Philadelphia, Ohio, son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Kelly Malterer of Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law, Tabitha and Geoffrey Dyer of Gainesville, brothers, Lennie Malterer of Ohio, and Don Malterer of Ohio, sisters, Ada Mears of Ohio, Tina Dessecker of Ohio, Kelly Winter of Ohio, and 12 grandchildren.
Family has requested that all who attend the funeral please wear bright colors in Memory of Phillip.
