Annie W. Sanford, age 72, of Cumming passed away Monday, July 25, 2016. Annie was a kindergarten teacher, teaching at Ducktown and Coal Mountain Schools. She was member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her husband, Jack V. Sanford; her parents, Fred and Essie Watson; brother, Elmer Watson, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elmer and Alene Sanford; sister-in-law, Sandra Watson, brothers and sisters-in-law, Emmett and Dorothy Watson and Lemuel and Plassie Watson.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Amy Sanford, Mitchel and Cindy Sanford; grandchildren, Levi Sanford, Maggie Sanford and Kadie Sanford; brothers, Johnny Watson and Delmer Watson and his wife, Kittie, all of Cumming. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives; and a long-time friend and caregiver, Lavon McGriff
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 27, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Cantrell, Rev. Randy Richards and Rev. Robert Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
