Charlotte Marie Ora Smith English

Funeral services for Charlotte Marie Ora Smith English, age 87, of Demorest will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from the Fairfield Baptist Church.  Dr. Keith Allison will officiate with interment to follow the service in Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery. 

Mrs. English passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016. 

Born on March 15, 1929 in Red Ridge, Michigan, Mrs. English was the daughter of the late Guy S. and Nellie Heikkila Smith. Mrs. English was retired from Habersham Mills and she enjoyed gardening and working with flowers as well as cooking, sewing, and making clothing.  She was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church.   In addition to her parents, Mrs. English is preceded in death by her husband John Ernest English, daughter Dayle English, and brothers Clarence Smith and Clifford Smith. 

Survivors include daughter Betty Ann English of Demorest, daughter and son in law Brenda and Kenneth Nicholson of Demorest, son and daughter in law David and Tracy English of Clarkesville, and sister and brother in law Corinne and Kenneth Woodall of Demorest. 

The family will receive friends at Hillside Memorial Chapel Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 2:00 until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
