Mary Lou Oliver

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Mary Lou Bryant Oliver, age 90, of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Friday, July 22, 2016.  Mrs. Oliver was born in Talmo, Georgia the daughter of the late Lonnie and Sallie Mae Watson Bryant, was a member of Academy Baptist Church and was retired from the Jefferson City School System after a long career of preparing meals for the students and faculty of Jefferson Elementary School.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Oliver is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Franklin Oliver.

 Survivors include four daughters; Janie Hawkins and her husband Wayne of Jefferson, Betty Shelton and her husband Eric of Jefferson, Cheryl Early and her husband Bill of Gainesville, and Charlene Oliver of Gainesville.  One son, Charles Oliver and his wife Diane of Jefferson.  Two sisters, Hazel Shuman of Gainesville, and Anelle Rodgers of Greensboro, North Carolina.  Three Grandchildren; Stephanie and Wade Walker, Jason and Kasie Oliver, Ana and Daniel Pelham.  Six great grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from the Academy Baptist Church with Reverend Eric Shelton officiating. The family will receive friends 4-8 P.M. Monday, July 25, 2016 at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Academy Baptist Church, P.O. Box 716, Jefferson, Georgia  30549.
