Hobert Walter Motes

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Hobert Walter Motes, age 81 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Wednesday, July 20, 2016.  Mr. Motes was born in Talking Rock, Georgia, the son of the late Aaron Motes and Mandy Childers Motes, was a retired superintendent with Childers Electric and was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. 

Survivors include the mother of his children; Sandra Motes of Jefferson, daughters; Linda Jolley and her husband Robert of Jefferson, Cindy Wheeler and her husband Michael of Norcross, Sherry Nalley of Jefferson, Mary Grobe and her husband Keith of Buford.  Sister, Geneva Rhodes of Oregon, brother, Bernie Motes of Ranger, Georgia.  Nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, July 23, 2016 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Freeman officiating.  The family will receive friends 1 – 3 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
