Robert Hugh Hawkins, Jr.

Robert Hugh Hawkins Jr., age 80 passed away on July 16, 2016 after a long battle with cancer.  Robert (Bob) was a resident of Hall County where he was a carpenter/builder for all of his adult life.  He was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Clermont, GA. 

Funeral services will be held at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 260 Main St, Clermont, GA 30527.  Interment will be held at Concord Baptist Church cemetery. 

Bob was born in Daytona Beach, Florida where he met his true love and wife of 62 years, Jolly Scheitlin.  Family will receive friends at Strickland Funeral Home on Monday, July 18, from 6:00 – 8:00pm

Survivors include his wife, Jolly, daughter and son-in-law, Pandy and Gene Thomas; daughter, Cindy Hawkins, son and daughter-in-law, Don and Carole Hawkins; son, Randy Hawkins; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jane Hawkins; brother, Hank Hawkins and sister, Mary Louise Green; 14 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jessi Hawkins.
