Mary Williamson Turk, age 92, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016 after several years of declining health.
Mrs. Turk was born April 6, 1924 in Jackson County, GA to the late Charlie C. Williamson, Sr. and Laura Wade Williamson.
She was retired from Johnson and Johnson. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mrs. Turk was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry D. Turk; son, Charles D. Turk; grandson Timothy D. Turk; sister, Josephine Barry; brothers Charlie Williamson, Jr. and Marion Williamson.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Jim Jackson, Gainesville; grandson Jonathan Turk, Gainesville; great-grandson, Jaxson Turk, Gainesville, step-granddaughters, Miranda (Dale) Thomas and Carla (Nick) Picciano; a number of step great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Miriam and Bob Chandler, Colbert, GA; sister-in-law, Georgia Douglas, Blackwell, OK. A number of dear nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends survive.
Memorial services are scheduled, Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Gainesville, GA, with Interment at Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Officiating Dr. David Fahner and Dr. William D. Hines.
