Lila Joyce Vaughan

Mrs. Lila Joyce Vaughan, age 73, of Cumming, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, July 14^th, 2016. Lila was a caring and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Daves Creek Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her parents, James and Laura Spivey; brother, Harry Spivey; sister, Sara (Ninky) Spivey.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Gary Theaston Vaughan; daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Michael Evans of Cumming; sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Janit Vaughan of Blairsville, Jerry and Linda Vaughan of Cumming, Johnny and Melanie Vaughan of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Derek Vaughan, Michael Chad and Kelly Evans, Lindsey Vaughan, Nathan and Katie Vaughan, Natasha and Dillon Winters, Kyle Vaughan, Harley Vaughan, Summer Vaughan, Gracie Vaughan, and Corey and Lori Hubbard; great-grandchildren, Matthew Evans, Brooklyn Winters, Keaton Vaughan, Mayes Evans, Sadie Winters, Blakely Vaughan, Harper Hubbard, and Ruthie Hubbard.

Brothers and sisters-in-law; James (Jimmy) and Shelby Spivey, Jr., George (Ray) and Barbara Spivey all of Mableton, Paul (Danny) Spivey of Griffin; sister, Laura (Sissy) Smarr of Nashville, TN.

Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Billy and Louise Vaughan of Cumming, Ricky and Maryann Vaughan of Douglasville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sarah and Edward Gordy of Cumming; sisters-in-law, Rebecca Head of McDonough, and Patsy Woodall of Cumming and other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 17, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Daves Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Cantrell, Rev. Doug Carnes, Rev. Casey Martin, and Rev. Kyle Vaughan officiating.  Interment will follow at the Daves Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 12 to 4 and 6 to 9. And on Sunday from noon until the hour of service.
