Janolan Sims was born on December 6th 1978 to Jeffrey L. Smith and Glenda Hester. He graduated from Gainesville High School in 1998. Mr. Sims also worked for the City of Gainesville for many years. Janolan had a special heart for taking care of kids. His hobbies were playing basketball, cards, and listening to the oldies. He had a loving and caring heart.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers: Louise Hodges and Jeanette P. Smith; grandfathers: Ernest Sims and Harold Waller. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving mother and stepfather Mr. and Mrs. Anthony (Glenda) Hester and father Jeffrey L. Smith; three daughters: Lachia Brown, Keiasha Millsaps Sims, and Samaria Sims; one son: Janolan Sims Jr.; four brothers: Tory (Tajma) Jackson, Dashannon (LaToya) Sims, Jonathan (Shaudee) Hester, and Tyson C. Smith; two sisters: Joyclyn S. Smith and Whitney N. Smith; special aunts: Keiasha Jackson and Shirley Clark-Knight; special cousin: Cardoza Clark Jr.; two grandmothers: Mary Patrick and Bobbie Jean Sims and a host of other family relatives and friends.
