Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday July 14, 2016 at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Lloyd James Ash, age 84 of Gillsville. The Rev. Scott Wilson and Rev. Anthony Cook will officiate. Interment will follow at Harmony Hall Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Ash passed away Monday July 11, 2016.
Mr. Ash was born in Hall County to the late Coleman J. Ash and Rhoda N. Norris Ash. He served in the U.S. Army during Korea. He retired from General Motors after 33 years. He was a member of the Stone Lodge #715 F&AM and a member of Harmony Hall Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Lou Thomas Ash and daughter-in-law, Nancy Mathis Ash.
Survivors include son, Lloyd Ash Jr., Gillsville, son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Lue Anne Ash, Gillsville and grandson, James Ash, Gainesville.
