Herbert H. Bierenfeld, 85, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Chelsey Park Rehabilitation facility in Dahlonega following a brief illness. Mr. Bierenfeld grew up in Trenton, New Jersey and married the love of his life Theresa Schulze, who passed away December 27, 2010.
He is a Navy veteran, and retired from Western Electric/ AT&T as a tool and die maker. He found great pleasure in fishing and was a talented and skilled woodworker. His catholic faith and his love for the Lord and his family was his priority.
Herb is survived by his three sons Tommy Matera and his wife Candace who reside in Dawsonville, GA. and son Henry H. Bierenfeld and his wife Jeanna who reside in Dunwoody and Henry’s twin brother Tim Bierenfeld who resides in Alpharetta. He was the proud grandfather of Katie, Sarah Rose, Angela and Terri and great grandfather to Thomas, James (deceased), Eve, Grace, Joseph and Jordan.
Our thanks go out to the staff at Chelsey Park for their dedication and compassion in caring for our father. Dad was an amazing man who always gave a 100% with anything he ever did. A true craftsman and loving father.
Herb’s service will be held at 10:30am on Friday, July 8th at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody, followed by a reception at the church and inurnment at North Atlanta Memorial Park.
